Frequently asked questions

How do I book a house?+

Send us a request from the page of the house you like, by e-mail or on WhatsApp, with your dates, the number of travellers (children included) and your wishes. An adviser checks availability and sends you a quote within 24 hours. The booking becomes firm as soon as we receive the deposit stated in the quote; you then receive a written confirmation.

How long is a quote valid?+

Unless otherwise stated, a quote is valid for 48 hours. Until the deposit is received, the dates remain open to other requests; if the house is in high demand, tell us and we will let you know whether a short option is possible.

Can I pay online by card?+

No, and that is deliberate. The site takes no online payment. The deposit is paid by bank transfer to the account stated in the quote, the balance by transfer or, with our agreement, on arrival. We will never ask you for a card number by e-mail, telephone or messaging. If you have any doubt about a message received in our name, call us before transferring anything.

What currency are prices in? Can I pay in euros or dollars?+

Prices are set and invoiced in Moroccan dirhams (MAD). Amounts in euros or dollars shown on the site and in the quote are indicative equivalents at the rate of the day. You may transfer in euros or dollars: the amount taken into account is the amount actually credited to our account, net of bank and exchange charges, which remain at your expense.

How much is the deposit and when is the balance due?+

The deposit is usually 30% of the price of the stay. The balance is due no later than 30 days before arrival, or in full at the time of booking if you book less than 30 days ahead. The exact schedule is stated in your quote.

Is there a security deposit? How is it returned?+

A security deposit may be required depending on the house; its amount is stated in the quote. It is paid no later than on arrival, by prior bank transfer or in cash against receipt. It is returned to you within 7 working days after departure, less any damage or costs substantiated by an invoice.

What are the cancellation conditions?+

Unless your quote provides otherwise: more than 60 days before arrival, 50% of the deposit is refunded; between 60 and 30 days, the deposit is retained; less than 30 days, no-show or early departure, the full stay is due. An accepted change of dates is not a cancellation. If we have to cancel other than through force majeure, we offer you an equivalent or better house at no extra cost, or refund you in full with compensation equal to the deposit. As accommodation supplied on a specific date, there is no right of withdrawal (Moroccan Law No. 31-08, article 42).

How does arrival work? Which documents should I bring?+

Houses are available from 3 pm and must be vacated by 11 am, unless otherwise agreed. On arrival, a member of our team welcomes you, shows you around, hands over the keys and has you sign the rental contract and the inventory. Bring the passport or identity card of every occupant: Moroccan regulations require us to record the identity of all travellers and report it to the authorities.

Are children welcome?+

Yes. Cot, high chair and baby bath are available on request in most houses. Please note, however, that not all pools and basins in riads and villas are secured; tell us the ages of the children and we will point you to suitable houses. Children remain under the constant supervision of adults.

Can I bring my pet?+

Some houses accept pets, others do not. Mention it in your request: we will offer a compatible house and the agreement will be recorded in writing in the quote. An additional cleaning charge may apply.

Do you offer airport transfers?+

Yes. A driver waits for you at the exit of Marrakech-Menara airport with your name, in a saloon car or minibus depending on the group, child seats on request. In the Medina, the driver walks you to the riad with your luggage. The price is stated in the quote, one way or return.

Which concierge services can you arrange?+

Private chef for a Moroccan dinner or bespoke menu, welcome groceries, hammam and massages at the house, excursions to the Atlas, Essaouira or the desert, babysitting, driver by the day, restaurant and golf bookings. Ask us before or during the stay: your adviser is reachable on WhatsApp.

Do Moroccan couples have to show a marriage certificate?+

Moroccan law does not require accommodation providers to demand a marriage certificate, and the Ministry of Justice reiterated in 2024 that only the authorities may request such a document. We neither photograph nor keep it. However, relationships outside marriage remain punishable under article 490 of the Moroccan Penal Code: we invite unmarried Moroccan or mixed couples to bear this in mind, to carry their identity documents and, if married, their marriage certificate, to avoid any inconvenience in the event of a check. We apply the instructions of the local authorities in force and inform you before booking.

What is the tourist tax?+

It is a Moroccan local tax, due per person and per night, whose amount depends on the category of the house. Children under 10 are exempt. It is stated in your quote, either included in the price or paid on site depending on the house, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Should I take out travel insurance?+

We strongly recommend it. The price of the stay includes no insurance. Travel insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, repatriation and civil liability abroad protects you, in particular for non-refundable sums in the event of late cancellation. Also check whether your bank card or home insurance already covers you.
