Casa Mima, private riad in the Kasbah, pool, breakfast included

Casa Mima is a Kasbah riad with ochre walls and cream tadelakt, arranged around a bright patio planted with potted olive trees. Its long green zellige pool is lined with arcades, lanterns and painted palm-tree frescoes. On the top floor, a roof with rammed-earth crenellations recalls the kasbahs of the South. The house is private to the guests of the booking only.

The spaces

On the ground floor, a Moroccan lounge with orange banquettes under arcades, a dining room with a long painted bench and an equipped kitchen in carved wood and zellige. Five suites, each with a private bathroom: four double beds, off-white tones, tadelakt headboards, blue, green or burgundy cushions, one of them a canopy bed, and one room with two single beds; three suites on the first floor, a fifth independent one on the terrace. Bathrooms in tadelakt and green or white zellige, stone basins, walk-in showers, bathrobes provided. Fibre Wi-Fi, air conditioning. Cot, high chair and baby bath available.

Outside

The patio pool, 6.5 metres long by 2.2 and 1.2 deep, with loungers. On the terrace, a second dining room, a summer kitchen, daybeds and a lounge corner under parasols, views over the Kasbah roofs.

The service

A housekeeper takes care of daily cleaning and prepares breakfast, offered every morning and served from 8 to 11:30 am. Moroccan meals on request, starter and main €15 or full menu €20 per person. Airport transfer €20 per trip up to 6 people, €30 beyond. Excursions, restaurants and activities on request through our concierge.

Kasbah, Medina: Saadian Tombs 5 minutes on foot, El Badi Palace and Agdal Garden 10 minutes, Jemaa el-Fna 15 minutes. Quiet requested in the evening out of respect for the neighbourhood, registered guests only, ID required; Moroccan cohabitation law applies to Moroccan couples.
