Dar Jali, Kasbah, rooftop plunge basin and breakfast

Dar Jali is a bright white riad: arcades and carved plaster around the patio, macramé pendants, leather armchairs, plants in clay pots, and one colour per bedroom. Fully private, it sits in the Kasbah close to Bab Ksiba, with car access that is rare in the medina.

The spaces

On the ground floor, the lounge with blue and green banquettes, a dining table for eight under the arches, an open wooden kitchen with oven, microwave and large fridge, television with IPTV and Netflix. Four air-conditioned bedrooms: an olive-green suite with king bed and arched headboard, a room with two blue beds, a terracotta room with red-and-white striped bedspreads, a fourth with lit niches; each with a private bathroom in herringbone zellige, green, blue or orange, brass fittings and walk-in shower. Wrought-iron gallery upstairs. High-speed Wi-Fi.

Outside

On the roof, under a reed pergola, a plunge basin edged with striped banquettes, loungers, a summer lounge, a breakfast table and an outdoor kitchen. The basin is private and open around the clock.

Breakfast included. Airport transfer can be arranged, €20 for up to 6 guests. Free parking in the immediate vicinity, paid guarded parking 250 m away. Pets welcome.

Kasbah, near Bab Ksiba, drop-off point 20 m from the door. Saadian Tombs 10 minutes on foot, El Badi Palace and Jemaa el-Fna within walking distance.
