Riad Dess is a monochrome house: from floor to ceiling, burnt-sienna tadelakt walls, round arches, carved plaster niches and headboards, lifted by sage-green cushions and rust stripes on the roof. An upscale riad, exclusively yours, for a family, friends or a cultural stay.

The spaces

The patio, planted with potted banana trees and palms, opens onto a lounge with earth-pink banquettes and a dining corner under a copper pendant. Equipped kitchen in tadelakt and brass. Five air-conditioned bedrooms, queen beds with white sheets and caramel throws, carved plaster alcoves, mashrabiya windows, each with a private tadelakt bathroom, walk-in shower and pedestal basin. Outside

At the centre of the patio, a one-metre-deep basin in green zellige, open around the clock. On the roof, a solarium under a shade sail, striped banquettes, breakfast table, potted agaves and olive trees, and views of the ramparts, stork nests and palms of the Kasbah.
