Riad Shamsa, whole riad for 14, terrace and breakfast included

Riad Shamsa is a bright, leafy house: white walls, blond wood doors with green stained glass, patterned cement tiles, banquettes tiled in earth and pink diamonds, a blue zellige fountain, and plants everywhere in the patio. A family or group riad at a gentle price, in a quiet alley in the north of the Medina.

The spaces

On the ground floor, the central patio, a tadelakt kitchen with a domed oven where the cook prepares breakfast, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. Upstairs, a double bedroom with a mezzanine and a large family room with 8 wooden bunk beds, plus two more bathrooms. Brass basins, walk-in showers, green and yellow stained glass. Eleven beds, sleeps fourteen. Wi-Fi, self check-in.

Outside

On the roof, a terrace with a dining corner under a parasol, loungers, a low cushioned lounge and an outdoor shower, shaded by reed screens. The patio serves as a summer dining room around the round table.

The service

Moroccan breakfast served every day on the terrace, housekeeping included, home-cooked meals on request. Airport transfer on request. Tourist tax €2.50 per person per night. Pets welcome.
