Riad Tayma, private, heated basin, 6 bedrooms

Riad Tayma is a riad of today: walls of brick carved in geometric patterns, gilded wood ceilings, brass pendants, and plenty of light thanks to the glass-roofed patio. Furniture and décor were entrusted to local artisans. The riad is entirely private, with access to every space: patio, basin, lounges, bedrooms, terrace and kitchen.

The spaces

The patio lounge, white sofas and rattan armchairs, screen with Netflix, opens onto a round wooden dining room and a fully equipped carved-oak kitchen, washing machine included. Six bedrooms over two floors, queen beds with powder-pink or grey bedspreads, brick walls and zellige niches, reversible air conditioning in each, and six private bathrooms in blue-and-white zellige, bath or walk-in shower. Seven beds, sleeps thirteen. Desk in an alcove.

Outside

Around the patio, the heated basin where mint tea is served. On the top floor, the terrace furnished for sunbathing, dining or resting, with its striped plunge pool, a summer lounge under a raffia parasol and views of the minarets and the Atlas.

The service

Breakfast included every day, daily housekeeping included. Tourist tax of 25 MAD per person per night on arrival. Moroccan dinner on request.

Sidi Mimoun, Medina, 10 minutes on foot from Jemaa el-Fna. The riad is listed on Google Maps, taxis stop 2 minutes away on foot, guarded parking 3 minutes away.
